Wonderful Week

As this week comes to a close, I am reflecting on all the wonderful joys shared with family and friends.
Movie nights, lunches with pals, dinners with close friends, hours spent on the patio in the sun....... and the list goes on and on.
The kids had a great week back to school. ~no morning complaints either! Yeah!
We are so very blessed to be living in a wonderful Country where we are able to worship how we choose.
Today's service at www.newlifeprovidence.com was amazing! The worship, fellowship and message were so to the point.
I pray you had a wonderful week also and that next week will hold even more promise!

My Sister

Today was such a great day! Yesterday I passed my book The One on to my sister Leah. I wanted to text her this AM to see what she thought, but really hate it when people do that to me. So I let it sit. She called me at about noon just gushing about my book!
She gave me the BEST compliment she could have ever given me, "I have to keep reminding myself that you wrote this!"
It makes me tear up remembering it!
When Marie, my 14 yr old daughter said that, I cried too. But that was different. She believes I can do anything! Isn't that why we have kids?
I just have to say how tickled I am that I was able to give my sister something to make her smile and pass a few hours. I know Anthony, her husband, will be thrilled when she is finished with the book because she has most likely closed herself away from the world!
Of which I am honored.
Leah, I am SO thankful you are my sister! You Rock!

Today was a good day.

What a blast to spend the day with your family! -most of them that is. (Marie was still in Naggs Head :( )
We were asked to deliver our Home Owner's Association Newsletter, so we all got up and ate then went out. What a great two hours of chatting and spending time together out in our wonderful Virginia weather.
We are truly blessed to have a loving family who enjoys spending time together.
We also got the opportunity to meet more of our neighbors. What a fun group we all are.
I am so looking forward to more beautiful days like today! -can you tell I LOVE warm weather?-

I'm off! Marie just got home and we are grilling and eating out by the lake.

Josh turns 12 tomorrow!

It is so hard to believe that my little boy will be 12 tomorrow! He is almost a teenager. Yikes!
He is such a fun kid and I take great pleasure in just hanging out with him.
I love to watch him with others because he is a friendly, kind and loving kid. Yes, he is still a wild boy, and probably always will be.
He just loves life.

HOA Picnic

Is there a better way to start the Spring Break than with a community Easter Egg Hunt!
Our community came together and had so much fun watching the children search for hidden eggs, compete in sack races, painting faces and be painted, painting ceramic tiles, and sharing eachothers special treats.
It was a great time.
I would like to thank Linda for putting all of this together. And her husband Robert for supporting all the time she spent.
I look forward to many more gatherings!

Thank You to my friends

What a fabulous day!
I love Fridays. There is nothing better than spending a large part of the day with a great friend. Today was my day with Amy.
We aim to have lunch at least once a month and hope for twice a month, but we both are wives of soldiers and at home moms. In other words life can often intrude!
Today we went to 3 Amigos. YUM! I love Mexican food and found this place a few weeks ago. I have an issue with most East Coast Mexican food because it is NOT like Arizona Mexican Food which I grew up with. But 3 Amigos is very close and makes me VERY happy!
We both left 3 Amigos satisfied with the food and the company.
It was such a beautiful day that we then took a long walk around our Big lake.
It really is wonderful to have a special friend who lives so close.
I have been blessed with a few of these special ladies through out my life. Each new home seems to bring a special person I couldn't do without.
Each of you knows who you are and I would like to say a very special "Thank You".
You make my day wonderful.

Some time in my shoes

Today was nuts but so wonderful.
This was the day that I went and did my MONTHLY grocery shopping.
I hit Sams, Wal-mart, and this wonderful Asian market with the freshest produce.
I only do this once a month because I hate grocery shopping. I make up my months recipes using a great program called Shop N' Cook Menu. It even prints out my shopping list! You can check it out at http://www.shopncook.com/. It is a bit costly but SO well worth it. I imported all of my recipes and am able to use my computer when I cook instead of a million different cookbooks.

So back to today. It was great because I know I won't have to do it again for a whole month. Only a quick run for milk and perishables will be needed.
YEAH!
This gives me ALL day tomorrow to work on my Scrapbook Challenge. What fun!
